Bullets

A Lesson On Guns - A Public Service Announcement Do not think that just because you do not see sparks flying, that there are not bullets, even hundreds of bullets, flying around you.

(Caveat: If you are caught in a military conflict, you may see red and green lines streaking through the air. Avoid these. These are called "tracers." For every one of those you see, there are usually 3-4 ones in between them that you are not seeing. Again, bad ju-ju. Avoid.

Your Say

Evr notice that in TV shows when the good guys and the bad guys start blasting away at each other, no bystanders ever get shot?

Unfortunately, most people think that just because "no one is aiming at me" that they are outside the fray.

As the old saying goes, you can't dodge a bullet with your name written on it, but all the rest have "to whom it may concern."

The red tracers are US/NATO standard. The Russians and Chinese (commies) use green tracers. Bullets don't really care which side you're on, though, and have no consideration whatsoever for your "Civilian" status.

I dunno. This world would be better off with more Darwin Award winners.

"Hey, they really are green!"

Overheard on a CH-46 a million years ago.

TmjUtah : Roger that.
I learned that lesson over forty years ago at a perimeter guard post, my first night in country.
