A funny thing happens when you dissent from Roe v. Wade:

You come to see that there's not much else by way of intellectual content to the case for abortion on demand.

Roe predates our own political consciousness, so we have to assume there were once stronger arguments. But these days the appeal to the authority of Roe is pretty much all there is apart from sloganeering, name-calling, appeals to self-interest and an emphasis on difficult and unusual cases such as pregnancy due to rape. Your Say

The pill and IUD became readily available in 1970.
The Supreme Court found a constitutional right to
abortion in 1973 over-riding all state laws. At the time this seemed correct. Now I realize that issues like abortion, marriage, education, healthcare are state by state issues to be decided by that states' voters. Our contract/Constitution with our federal government empowered the state and limited the federal government"s job/role. The courts have illegally empowered themselves. States should take back their legal rights and power.
Gosnell is the outcome of a RIGHT to abortion.

None of the left's pet causes have much in the way of intellectual or moral foundation any more. They accomplished all the things there was any real justification for in the 60s, now its just tacking on new causes to feel important and needed.
