Precisely, Bobbye. Well, just a tad sooner (beginning January 1, 1863) - specifically, the destruction of the Republic by the first "Republican" President through executive overreach. He not only set the precedent for presidential hubris, deceit and excess, but presided over the dissolution of the Union as a (voluntary) *union*.
