The Panic Button

PanicKey_525.jpg

Thanks to a rental car, I had a panic button in my pocket. It made me tense.

If a jittery culture seems bent on keeping us on edge, always nervous about what we’ve missed, what hidden threats lurk where, what life we are failing to attain and why, then why not represent that in a handy button we look at many times a day, one that practically begs to be pressed?

Your Say

I would accidentally press the panic button if the keys were in my pocket, I took the key remote apart and removed the contacts on the panic button. Nobody would give a damn if the alarm was ringing as it is.

The new truck I had to buy came with those damn things. I hung them on a nail in the closet. When I get too weak to turn a key I may retrieve one.

Somewhere around here, I still have my "Don't Panic" button from Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy quest game that we played on our Commodore computer.

Happy Birthday, (March 11) Doug Adams!
