Sweeney Todd For Senate Barber

sweeney-todd_0.jpg

With the Senate Barbershop running annual deficits of $350,000, Senate sergeant at arms Terry Gainer whats to privatize it. If this should happen there is only one man for the job and his name is Sweeney Todd. Talk about cutting the size of government. We know how politicians like their pork, well just wait until they get a load of Mrs. Lovett's meat pies. -- iMaksim.com

Your Say

My wife and I walked out of that movie and felt revolted for several days. It was not a good feeling. She liked the Broadway play, but this movie was just a creep show, how grossed out can you make people feel.

Well. Somebody has finally found a good use for that movie and its images. Bravo! They deserve each other.

This would give a whole new meaning to cutting the deficit. And if a few senatorial throats get in the way, well, pour encourager les autres...

There's a hole in the world
Like a great black pit
And it's filled with people
Who are filled with shit
And the vermin of the world
Inhabit it...

I went back and checked the original Broadway cast. Len Cariou as Sweeney and Angela Lansbury as Mrs. Lovett I remembered (I used to check out the libretto from the library as a kid...yeah, I was odd. Did I say "was"?) I didn't know Victor Garber played Anthony.

Not having been inside a movie theater since 1974 (Blazing Saddles), I'm on thin ice, but what the hell, here goes: From the commercials, trailers, and those shown on TV, especially AMC, I can't help but sense a plethora of blue-tinted movies nowadays, all of which appear to be excessively violent, gruesome, nonsensical fantasies. Am I wrong?

Not wrong. Not just by much. Movies, in general, pretty much run on new methods of killing and in various tints. It's the CSI effect.

Hello! Quick question that's totally off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My website looks weird when browsing from my iphone. I'm trying to find a theme or plugin that might be able to correct this issue. If you have any suggestions
