"While Rove and Reince fight for the wheel of the hearse, forgive me if I point out that it’s still full of dead ideas."
The DNC is hiring young activists and paying them a living wage to do nothing more than evangelize the Gospel of Obama. Even the churches of the Right would rather build bigger barns than support "missionaries" with a living wage, so how can we expect the GOP to ever invest in the next generation? I've watched them ignore schools, neighborhoods, and local businesses for 40 years. But they sure have had their hand out for my money.

Funny you should post this. I've attempted to volunteer for GOP campaigns across the country the last few cycles, and the response s the same : send money, and please do GOTV at the last minute. I'm in sales, have an advertising background, and am highly motivated and informed, yet nobody on the right wants more than a couple bucks and a phone bank voice.

Dan, just repeat your story x millions. It's all they've ever know to do, "manage things" for the little people.

Public education is done, it has been Dewey'd to death.(maybe that should be "do weed".) Get the GOP out of education. And the last place you want government is in your neighborhood or business. You like government redeveloping your neighborhood with more section 8 housing? Or taking your property for a development that creates more tax income for the rulers? How's that obamacare working out for your business? How about mandating more subprime loans so you have another bailout to fund those forclosed homes? If the GOP wants a future it had better secure the border and get the rest of government off our ass.

Dan, you seem to be confusing The Right with the Republican Party. One of the things that the author tried to point out is that, while most conservatives vote Republican, not all Republicans, especially the Republican leadership, are conservatives. Rove and Company are doing their best to marginalize conservatives in the Republican party. Which is incredibly stupid on their parts, as it has been the conservatives of the Tea Party (who are not all Republicans) who has given the R's the victories they've had in the last two election cycles.
