Gun Sales Obiter Dicta [Bumped]

Every weapon of military utility designed within the past 100 years was gone. This isn’t a society stocking up on certain guns because they fear they may be banned. This is a society preparing for war. -- - Cobb

Your Say

May God help us. Pray for America.

Here's an experiment: Pray on one street and do something on another street. Let's see where the change happens.

I submit we are in this mess because one side is sitting on their couches in physical and intellectual gated-communities and the other side is riding into towns and businesses like an outlaw motorcycle gang and making people do what the gang wants. Maybe the action we hope God desires needs to be done by us and not by angels. Think of the "God made a farmer" commercial except it's "God made a conservative." To quote The Lightbringer "we are the ones we've been waiting for."

Scott, you are so right. I've been "preaching" this too, in person, to anyone who will stand and listen. Its discouraging work. We ARE "his" agents. He wants to see our efforts, enjoy vicariously our reaping of the rewards thereof. It is the great failure of Christianity that in spite of the instruction not to they "hide their light under a bushel." People's complacency knows no bounds it seems. We're waiting on a leader, a saviour and that keeps us from saving ourselves. In this sense Christianity has failed miserably.

I guess I'll have to spell it out a bit more, for some of the slower ones. Pray for guidance, wisdom, and the courage to do what is right. Pray for the strength to stand, when others are too weak. Pray that others will be given the courage and strength to stand with you. The Lord helps those who help themselves. "Therefore take the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." Ephesians 6:13. Perhaps now my earlier comment can be understood. "May God help us. Pray for America." PS. Mr. Van der Leun, my apologies for repeatedly quoting the same Book on your website over the past few years. I hope that you don't feel that it shows a lack of originality. To me, it seems appropriate, and I feel that it's important to get "the Word" out.

Nice clarification, Roger. Prayer is deeply misunderstood by too many. It is the uniting of two wills: the human and the divine. My job is not to tell God what to do. My job is to do what He tells me. The problem is, of course, I usually don't really want to know what that is, so I say that prayer doesn't work or that only the loons think that God speaks to them.

A government wants to disarm its people for one reason. Total and complete control. This is what tyrants do to maintain power. The US military is being purged of personnel who will not obey an order that contradicts the US Constitution.

There are people who will fight for liberty as documented in the US Constitution and Bill of Rights. And many of those people know the power of prayer.

Help us God.

After I had read the headline of this blog I was completely surprised but after reading the full post, I recognize it the right way. Genuinely very appealing content.
