"We see the comforts and conveniences of modernity slipping away and we'll do anything to try to hang onto them."

So, the Fed pumps its $90 billion-a-month and the Standard & Poor's index inflates like an old tire

while ten thousand more families get added to the food stamp rolls, and the banks sit on enough foreclosed property to fill the state of Indiana, and another 25-year-old college loan debt serf ODs on vodka and Xanax because he finally understands that even bankruptcy will not save him from perpetual penury. -- The Master Meme - Clusterfuck Nation

Your Say

It's a great take in an otherwise demented essay. He is gripped with the obsessive-compulsive disorders of global warming and peak everything. He's got quite a train, too.

Well, we don't quote him much. He's a stopped clock. And a crock.

I labored my way through the article okay. But then I started reading the comments from his followers...

"Oh, but President Wonderful HAS raised the issue of Global Warming!"

Please. No more of that, Gerard.

I didn't know. I have come to expect the libtard to get everything wrong, one bad idea leaping to another. But then, when a man realizes an important truth, it's bound to lay down a trail to others. He never picked it up. Very puzzling.

His train was pulling over five hundred threads when I looked, and those people have serious needs. I underestimated the support which ruling intellectuals have.

There's a potential point of connection between certain elements on the left and some of us right-wingers with anarchist tendencies.

The central government is largely controlled by the bigs -- big business, big labor, big banks, big education, big media -- see Breitbart. Some of those elements are "Republican"; some are "Democrat".

As long as the Democrats can keep their idiot supporters focused on the Big Bads of the Republicans, and the Republicans can keep their often equally idiotic supporters focused on the Big Bads of the Democrats, the parties can maintain their bases and their power.

Neither party is going to take down Big Government because that's how they get their corn pone, as Twain said.

I hate to sound like Potsie, but some of us are starting to wake up to the charade.
