About day 3 or 4 after the massacre at SHE, I wrote my congresswoman and asked her to consider a hearing into the press coverage vs WTF actually happened, since there was no making sense of any of it at that time. Of course, she doesn't want to appear the ass.

There is no telling what happened, although the current understanding is the rifle was used. How the hell would I know the truth of it?

I know one thing now that I didn't know then. My understanding is that the AR platform is the most popular rifle (carbine) owned in America, and the moves against this amount to mostly outlawing guns in America. First, they kid you @ "we aren't trying to take away all of your guns, so quit bitching," then they're all like, "a couple years from now and we'll have all of your guns." We used to call that pissing on your bag, and telling you it's raining.

Anyway, the registration part of controlling the 150 or so weapons in Franken-Feinstein's bill is sufficient cause for me to say no thank you, gubbmint.
