Colin Blow Hearts Obama
And since Colin Powell's so fond of our Commander in Chief, how about a few comments
from the General about how Obama is handling Afghanistan? We're shoveling soldiers into a meat grinder over there. Notice how we never hear the word "quagmire" as applied to Obamaâs war. Our troops are out there in hell with no clear mission and absurd rules of engagement. Here's your automatic weapon, soldier, along with your allotted three bullets. -- Joytiz

Don't shoot at night because you don't want to wake the locals (they need their rest) and you can't shoot someone after they've planted an IED.

Something that everybody is missing in the latest blow up involving Colin Powell. Wasn't he the guy who said the pithy comment after the toppling of the Iraqi govt, "If you break it, you own it?" And didn't this provide cover for Democrats to pressure Bush to engage in nation building after the Iraq invasion? And didn't the problems associated with all this bring the Republicans down
So why would Colin Powell retain even a shred of credibility after all this? But of course we all know thw answer to this

My son's Green Beret A-team is being redeployed to A-stan. They were supposed to be out of this rotation, but now are returning for back-to-back-to-back rotations. A meat grinder is an apt description of what is being done to our best warriors. No victory, no goal, no reason to be there. There are no hearts and minds to be won there. This war is a spreadsheet exercise for career politicians, but a bloody horror for us with skin in the game.

@twolaneflash; I am with you sir and understand your grief and stress. Been there myself. A neighbor of mine has a daughter over in A-stan who is an Army MP. She visited her parents over Christmas and what she had to say about what was going on over there in the pig stye was absolutely unbelievable. Beyond my wildest imagination of what darkness our countries leaders have sunk.
