The Thomas Friedman Op/Ed Generator

Why Nations Fail | "The first rule of holes is that when you're in one, stop digging. When you're in three, bring a lot of shovels.

If I had fifteen minutes to pitch my idea to politicians, I'd tell them two things about education. First, there's no way around the issue unless we're prepared to spend more: and not just spend more, but spend smarter by investing in the kind of green energy that makes countries succeed. -- Make your own @ the Friedman Op/Ed Generator

Your Say

Even a doofus like Tom Friedman.

OK. You got me.... I didn't get the joke until had read the entire "column" and the disclaimer at the bottom.

The gag successfully provoked my usual Thomas L. Friedman response: "The ideas here are so adrift and anchorless in this world that it's not even wrong!"

I'm sure he thinks his thinking is "Outside The Box".... The Box is his Saddam spider-hole! It would take a SEAL Team raid on The Box to blast Thomas Friedman out of The Box. He is the Baby Jessica of The Box. He is a test-Box baby. He is The Boy in The Box. I got a box of cereal; Thomas Friedman was the prize. He finds Plato's Cave to be a how-to manual; he only wishes it was "Plato's Box". We got a new stove; my kid cried when Thomas Friedman wouldn't come out of the box it came in. His ideas are not just "Inside The Box"; his ideas are in the heart of the cutest little box in the Mamushka nested boxes. He's outdone Houdini; he can be anywhere in the world and escape Into The Box.

Box. Ass. Bang.

It's remarkable to visit this site and reading the views of all friends concerning this article, while I am also keen of getting familiarity.
