"The commoners"

not only think that passage of the latest “landmark legislation” is all that is needed to achieve perfection and finally ascend to that plateau of Nirvana,

but that if you argue or question the idea then you must be the stupid one. .... Indyjones that is very clever.

The last thing schools have wanted from students is learning how to think. Listen to even the callers to NPR or conservative talk radio. Too often what they say is more like a verbal burp or "me too." You must practice thinking, speaking, and writing or you will become less and able to do them.
