"The men's voices are an octave higher than in 1950, and the women sound like kazoos." -- Oh Help by Fred Reed [HT: KH ]

Your Say

I was thinking Hillary & crew sound a bit like Donald Duck, but "kazoo" works.

Is it from here? Why no link?

It came in the mail sans link. But thanks to you I can add it.

Fred can do all my drinking for me. He stays lucid anyway.

Yeah, that's absolutely true. Its frustrating and annoying, I can't stand women's voices these days. Especially that vocal fry and the grunt "nh" at the end of words women affect (Stephanie from Sons of Guns first few years did it a lot). Ugly and obnoxious sounding.

I guess me and Selma Diamond wouldn't be welcome at Fred's place. I very often sound like a kazoo, a tenor kazoo. At least I'm not effeminate.

Pantsuit-wearing, hairy-lipped, Obama-worshipping vegan eardrum-melting harridans.

I'd have a low voice too, if I smoked a pack of cigarettes a day.

I don't smoke, but chronic asthmatic bronchitis has manned my voice up nicely, when it isn't totally out of commission.
