Awardery - schwardery! Just keep it rollin',Gerard. It is the keystone in the matrix of the Great Scheme of Things: but you know that.

I always thought it was a close one between you and Greenfield, Gerard

And on a personal chest thumping note, if it is my fate to be appreciated by only one blogger on the net, I'm glad it's the best essayist in all of conservodom

Congratulations Gerard!

Many thanks, not only for your essays, but for your introducing me to writers/blogs like Daniel Greenfield's - who I would never have stumbled upon but for your most excellent site.

Happy New Year.

Jim

Gerard. We knew you were the best before any awards being bestowed.

Still the best! Good show Gerard.

Congrats, Gerard. I've been entertained, amused and on occasion, moved to tears by your work. Thanks for taking the time to write.

Posted by: SteveS at December 27, 2012 12:17 PM

WooHoo! Congratulations on a well-deserved award. I never miss checking your work here.

Congratulations, Gerard! It's a well-deserved award.

I love Greenfield, but I wouldn't say he's the better craftsman. He's a great writer. So are you. Your posts here are works of art. They always have a delicious cadence. They take off at a pace that sets a tone and then they move toward something, and find it, and shed light on it, and some grace. If we're giving prizes for sheer beauty of prose, it makes sense to honor Mr. Gerard Vanderleun!

Posted by: Sarah Rolph at December 27, 2012 3:28 PM

Congrats Gerard. Well deserved.

Never a day of dull reading here! Or listening...especially Beethovens 5 secrets from the piano guys.

What I've been saying. Today and yesterday. You are hands down the most wonderful.

Posted by: nlmoss at December 27, 2012 6:40 PM

I've always considered you the finest writer on the web. Well deserved.

Posted by: mark smith at December 28, 2012 7:45 AM

Excellent Gerard. This site and your writing are a treasure. And I get to find out wonderfuly wicked stuff, like Anna Wintour's "hobby" when she worked at Penthouse. :-)
