The Cloward-Pivens of the right
The fact that his vote might end up causing Romney to lose and Obama to win is irrelevant to this man.
He and others of his ilk, who might be addressed by Bill Whittle's video but who close themselves to its message and who look instead to the imminent arrival of an economic apocalypse, have more in common with the far left than they think they do. They are the Cloward-Pivenistas of the right. They believe that, if things get bad enough, the system will break down and enough people will see the light and then the true conservative dawn will break. -- conservative dawn will break. --- neo-neocon

No one is talking about how Jesus might just steal this election from Romney. Bill Keller, internet evangelist extraordinaire supposedly gotten more than a million promises of people who've signed his online pledge to write Jesus'name in the 'other' candidate's slot for president. It might be interesting to see if Ron Paul, Gary Johnson and Jesus manage to steal a Romney victory. If that happens, I am sure there are people who would like to crucify both Paul and Johnson, but what to do with Jesus, right?
Neo made a salient point that the Cloward-Pivenses and Pauls are Utopists. This is true, but the die-hard evangelicals can sometimes be apocalyptic in their vision of things to come. Ann Barnhardt used to be an evangelical Christian before becoming a doom-filled Catholic.

Cloward-Pivens indeed ... There are many folks who are hoping for the crash of the economic system in order to attain a libertarian gold-based currency utopia. Gerald Celente, Jim Sinclair, Martin Armstrong just to name a few.
While Cloward-Pivens is an apt comparison, "conservative" they are not. They're absolutely not interested in a conservative dawn, rather they seem to be more interested in a Godless libertarian utopia where nobody and no dreaded patriarchal institution (i.e. religion) promotes a value system other than their own.
They claim to be free market, but when it comes to ideas libertarianism should be the most free.
