What do your give to a cook who has everything? Karato!

I was raised not to play with my food.

And the designer name raises the cost of the school-supplies pencil sharpener to, what, $20 or so from one of the tony, high-end boutiques? Great scam.

Ok, I took a second look at the photo, and I guess the carrot-sharpener is somewhat bigger than the pencil sharpener I used to carry in my pencil case in second grade. But I'm still willing to bet it's overpriced.

Dang. I have to have one. I come from a long line of kitchen-gadget enthusiasts, and they would be very disappointed if I didn't get one. My grandmother bought one of the first potato peelers (that wasn't a knife), which I still have but no longer use. The pivoting carbon steel blade will still cut you.
