There are people who are even more confused than liberals, and these are called "independents" or "moderates."

If you don't even know whether you are a liberal or a conservative, you are either an ignoramus or a nutcase.
It's like not knowing if you're a boy or a girl. Here's a clue: if you don't know whether you're a boy or a girl, you're a liberal. Chas Bono, for example, spent his early life abroad. That makes him a liberal, not a sexual independent. -- One Cʘsmos: The Nightmare of Political Identity Disorder

Your Say

"I hate conservatives, but I loath liberals." a quote from one of the South Park creators.

Why I hate the terms liberal and conservative: If you believe in liberal gun laws it means you don't want restrictions on guns. If you believe in conservative environmental laws it means you want stricter laws regarding the environment.

I do believe that Chas Bono spent her early life as a girl. Gonad-mutilating surgery doesn't suddenly make her a guy.

That's

Chas Bono, for example, like Obama, spent much of his early life a broad.

"A(space)broad." The space means everything, and makes that the funniest line of the week to date.

What can there be at your core that would allow someone to vote for any combination of Carter, Reagan, one of the Bushes, maybe a Clinton, Obama, and now Romney. If your votes aren't at least going in one direction or another you shouldn't be allowed to vote.

I've had it up to hear with these morons that claim something in the past few weeks or months has caused them to regret their vote for Obama and they will now vote for Romney. Are you ashamed of being the slow learner? Maybe you just detect the crowd is going this direction and your enduring principle is "be with the crowd."

Every single "moderate and independent" I've ever heard on NPR, or some conservative talk show, is absolutely clueless about conservative arguments. They know all of the liberal talking points, but they know know more about the conservative argument than "the liberals sometimes go too far." They are universally people that get all of their media from the alphabet networks. They think they've heard both sides because PBS News Hour has David Brookes on 2 minutes each week. They just don't want to identify with a team that might not win the Super Bowl this year. "Moderates and independents" are the political equivalent to the people that watch the Super Bowl for the commercials. Maybe a better analogy is to fad dieters? They could just as easily be vegetarian, organic, comfort, paleo-, or Atkins fans, whatever. If you are a citizen it is your job to go get the info, if the media is incompetent why would you tune in over and over? The info you need is easier than ever to find

Scott, every conservative says they believe in limited government and reduced spending... except on all the things they want, then less freedom, more government and more spending are ok.
Every conservative blog I read, including this one, has ignorant people praising the work of big government in one way or another, and if you question it they respond with "Well the liberals are worse!" So I guess it makes it ok.

"The perfect is enemy of the good."

I rather prefer the direction conservatives aspire to hike than the thorough spelunking of hell the democrats are engaged in.
