Vacant Ambitions of the Faintly Famous

"In high school, skin care was one of my personal hobbies.
I also wanted to be a makeup artist." The American Idol runner-up went the extra mile for a big red-carpet appearance. "It took me 3 1/2 hours to get ready for the American Music Awards." ~~ Katharine McPhee

Your Say

Is "Smash" supposed to come back for another season?

I refused to watch it -- ever. Ms. McPhee is quite lovely, and has a nice enough singing voice, but she just doesn't "connect" with the likes of me. I wish her well with both her makeup and her career, but will not follow it.

In an update: Katherine McPhee doesn't give a flying rat's ass what I think. :-)

“Katherine McPhee doesn't give a flying rat's ass what I think.”

She cares more than you realize, Don.

Hence - "It took me 3 1/2 hours to get ready for the American Music Awards"

American Idol runners up, winners…every celeb, and winnable celeb, cares what everyone else thinks and cares about, just as long as it’s about them. Every contestant on every talent show or “reality” show, or movie star, etc. wants, nay NEEDS, to have everyone’s attention. At least the fools who watch and buy into that idol worship shit.

BTW: “Is "Smash" supposed to come back for another season?”, “I refused to watch it -- ever.”

Huh?

In that case Ms. McPhee should take off all her clothes. I'll watch that. Oink.

"Huh?"

McPhee is/was the star of "Smash," a TV series about a musical about Marylin Monroe. No. Really.

Just ask Ms. McPhee if it worked.

You sure know a lot about a show you "refuse to watch". No. Really.

The eyes - they are glass.
