"Rush, it's changing. More and more blacks are tired of the Democrat Party. It's changing."

And every year I've been hearing a transformation's taking place, and yet the percentages stay the same.
And I've looked at it intellectually, 50 years, the 24 that I've been doing the program, chronicle the decay, the destruction, the breakup of the black family, and it's all brought about by big government policies. It's all brought about by the Democrat Party, and yet they keep getting the votes. -- Why Democrats Get the Black Vote - The Rush Limbaugh Show

Your Say

The hardest lesson I had to learn later in life is how few decisions people make based on data. Engineers, nerds, Aspies, and some others follow the information as a rule, the other 85% of people will do anything but follow the facts to the their obvious conclusion. When people persist in a condition it is usually the result of their determined efforts to return to those results. For people that make decisions based on social inputs and feelings, it is better to have the usual misery than to find unexpected success.

That's not entirely true if I recall correctly.. President Bush enjoyed higher than normal percentages of black voters in both his wins, and the 2004 win was even higher than the first. It was moving in that direction until Obama. We'll see what happens this time.

I remember sometime ago when various political types switched parties. What they said was that they didn't leave the Democrat party, it left them. I would hope my co-religionists come to the same conclusion.
