I have family members in Wisconsin, and I have had to spend time in Madison for work. You always have a socialist hellhole when you have a major university in a capitol (Austin). But aside from Madison and the Milwaukee dead zone, Cheeseheads are mostly hard-working, sensible people. The residents of places like Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls deserve better than the shackles unions tried to force on them.

Being an independent old hillbilly, I am vehemently anti-union anyway. As far as I am concerned, they are just a means to keep slackers employed and overpaid. But even granting that unions might have been beneficial at one time in certain industries, the concept of a union for service workers employed by the government at taxpayer expense is at odds with commonsense.
