Earthly woes mount as Obama's rhetoric soars

hoover_film_landing.jpg

"That's how we built this country – together. We constructed railroads and highways, the Hoover Dam and the Golden Gate Bridge. We did those things together."
Does anyone really believe a second-term Obama administration is going to build anything? Yes, you, madam, the gullible sap at the back in the faded hope'n'change T-shirt. You seriously think your guy is going to put up another Hoover Dam? Let me quote one Deanna Archuleta, Obama's Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Interior, in a speech to Democratic environmentalists in Nevada: "You will never see another federal dam." Ever. --Mark Steyn

Dams, once useful constructions that prevented floods, provided reliable irrigation water, and produced inexpensive electricity, are now damned because.........they stop rivers from flooding, create cheap power, and help humans to subsist at levels far above hunting and gathering. You know, they help make all that dastardly easy modern living possible. Can.Not.Have.That.

The next time a Democrat talks about the Hoover Dam, slap him. The structure that they use as an icon was named after their archetype of an EVIL rethuglican president: HERBERT HOOVER. To add insult to injury, it was actually planed and authorized in the Coolidge administration.
