(Half)White Men Can't Jump

"He was one of the few players on the team who could not jump high enough to dunk the ball." — David Maraniss explaining the real reason why Obama was not picked for a starting position on his high school basketball team, as detailed from the book Barack Obama: The Story, which, unsurprisingly, contradicts Obama’s own version of it being due to his “black” style of play. -- Talk Straight

Your Say

And where exactly would Obama have picked up this "black" style of play -- from South Central Jakarta? Did Frank Davis show him a couple of ghetto ball tricks in between those underwear sniffing sessions? Ri-i-i-i-i-ight

Sheeet! I thought Obama spent his formative years so high he could have shot the ball straight down.

Since "too black" is a euphemism for undisciplined, run and gun playground shit, and I have a hard time believing that most of the players at a small Hawaiian school in the 70s could dunk, I might have to go with Obama's story on this one.

Some time back I saw a short video of his golf swing out on the course. No fricking way he could dribble the ball without tripping over the damn thing before he got to the basket.
