Buh-Bye Zune (2006-2012)

“Zune is a big investment for us,” Bill Gates, Microsoft’s chairman, said at the time, adding, “It’s a vision that will carry us forward for years.” [Yeah, right.]-- B.I.T.S.

Your Say

Its to bad, really. Zune was a good product - better than the IPod in some ways - but it didn't have that hipster cachet. Putting that apple symbol on the outside of a product suddenly makes it cool regardless of the product its self. Not having it makes it sub par, pathetic, something only losers would use.

The Zune was to the iPod what the Corvair was to the VW Beetle.

Don't own one, know that the Zune HD model received consistently high marks for sound quality and screen clarity. I see prices for used HD models are beginning to escalate. Possibly was a diamond in the rough when being sold at closeout prices.

What did that gal say? "Be first, be best, or be different."
