AD Site Issues
Yesterday, for reasons still obscure, a hijacking javascript got loose within this site and sent people off to bizarre pages else where on the Web. Working with the excellent people at Hosting Matters I think we've isolated and removed the offending item and returned control of this web site to you.UPDATE: Emails ask, "How do we know it has been fixed?" If you are reading this, it has been fixed.

Now I feel bad about all the bad words I was using.

Those who got 'forwarded' to the other site(s) should immediately run every malware and virus checker you have.
Strongly recommended: MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware.
Last time I encountered a situation like this, it left me with a virus that prevented my normal antivirus and anti-malware from running, and which I could not get rid of. It showed up as a bogus, 32-bit version of "dwm" in my task manager. Had to restore a good image of Windows from a backup. I've since set up my Win7 login account to run as a Standard User instead of Administrator. It's a pain, but the downside of the alternative is much worse.
Forewarned...
Never assume

This was happening on a number of other sites, too. Ace got hit, too: http://ace.mu.nu/archives/329850.php

I saw that Jewel. Also worrisome, but it appears to be a different symptom as well. That was a case where anonymous commenters were posting actual (potentially malicious?) links in the comment stream. What happened here was a case of the site's pages themselves being hijacked/hacked/corrupted, such that a visitor was redirected elsewhere without actually clicking on anything.

Curious. I got bumped off when on Chrome-- but switched to IE and didn't have further problems. Thanks, Goy, for the tips--

Thanks for the update. I was wondering what the heck was going on. At least it isn't a virus on my machine!

I didn't notice a problem here, but I've experiencing very slow page loads at Ace's for a few days.
