The president's reelection team probably thinks they're terribly clever and creative.
The rest of the world is shocked at how incredibly tone deaf they are to people. I'm torn between two theories:
1) This stupid crap works for the base, and that's who he's aiming at until the convention, when he'll change focus
2) They really are that cocooned and out of touch.
The problem with theory 1 is that the Obama reelection team is acting panicky and desperate.
