"Their foot shall slide in due time- Deut. 32:35"

The foolish children of men miserably delude themselves in their own schemes,
and in confidence in their own strength and wisdom; they trust to nothing but a shadow. The greater part of those who heretofore have lived under the same means of grace, and are now dead, are undoubtedly gone to hell; and it was not because they were not as wise as those who are now alive: it was not because they did not lay out matters as well for themselves to secure their own escape. -- Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God

My children learned this text and its importance in the American Revolution from a teacher who thought it was one of the most important sermons he'd ever read. His enthusiasm was infectious. His love for American History and her accomplishments influence my children even now, long after he retired from teaching.
Amazing. Talented teacher. A Pakistani Muslim, too.
Who'da thunk!
