Barack Obama began to lose touch with his grassroots base the very day he foermd his Formal Committee for United States President, for that was the day the social media folk took over his outreach and messaging and long gone was Obama's hands on approach to staying connected. From the start of his campaign, you would no longer find any community grassroots community organizers from Roseland or Englewood on his staff, nor would you ever find Obama again at neighborhood nightclubs. Never again would you see Obama talking directly TO grassroots people but AT grassroots people.
