In your dreams, pal. I haven’t sniveled since about 1952, and I’m too old to reacquire the habit. I say what I think, and I’m very much obliged to Taki’s Mag for letting me do so. --Talking Back - Taki's Magazine
Posted by gerardvanderleun at April 11, 2012 10:39 PM. This is an entry on the sideblog of American Digest: Check it out.
I've had various Students from Africa (ummm... 'black' in every case so far) who have been baffled by the attitudes of 'oppressed' 'African-Americans'.
These visiting students have been hard-working, law abiding and studious - NONE of the stereotypical attitudes that we see day after day on the street are present with in these people visiting our wonderful country.
With these words written, I will leave you all with your own conclusions as to what the hell is the problem here.

Why it's white privilege, of course!. As a white person, I am privileged that I don't have to think about being white all the time. Neither do I have to regard people as defined by group allegiances. I don't have to worry about some self-appointed white leader telling me to stop acting not white, when I want to think what I want to think, believe what I want to believe, work hard, study hard, get through life on my own terms. If I do well in a job, no white person accuses me of acting like a housemaid or a servant.
Blacks, for the most part aren't able to do that.If an American black kid tries to do well in school, he'll be put in his place and told not to act like a cracker or an uncle Tom or a house nigga.
A number of years ago, Liberian and Caribbean blacks in Philly encountered the mob mentality of American blacks when their well-dressed children started to outperform the American blacks in school, or their parents started to reap the benefits of hard work and capitalism.
American homies don't do dat, and many kids came home from school beaten up for acting like Whitey.
Whites, at least not the progressive kind, don't do that to other people.
American blacks do it to themselves.
We need an underground railroad for blacks wanting to get off the Liberation Plantation.

We have that means Jewel. It's called 'The Marcus Garvy Transatlantic Canoe Race' for the disgruntled.

When I read this comment to many people that I know, few pick up on the most crucial tell in it. That is a bit discouraging.

I had already been reading Derbyshire on Taki's Magazine, and have no problem at all in continuing to do so.
