"I Just Flew In From Holland, And Boy Are My Arms Tired"

Humans have minds. They invented all the stuff that made it possible for that feeble carcass, which is probably less feeble than most, to fly like a bird for a minute. -- The Borderline Sociopathic Blog For Boys

Your Say

If God had intended us to fly, He would have given us wings. (Retired air transport pilot.)

The most amazing thing about the video is that the guy must have hollow bones to be able to lift himself off the ground like that with undersized wings.

Nicely faked, but faked, unfortunately.

Hummm..... maybe or then again maybe not. No shit Sherlock.

"Update 2:15 pm PDT: We have a follow-up report documenting inconsistencies both in the video and Smeets’ online resumes.

Update 11:15 am PDT: The headline of this post has been changed to reflect that we have not confirmed Smeets’ claim.

Editor’s note (March 21, 8:15 am PDT): The authenticity of this video has been questioned (Gizmodo, The Register), but Wired’s preliminary analysis by physicist Rhett Allain found nothing in the video that indicates it must be a fake. We are contacting other experts and will update this post when we have more information. Jarno Smeets has not yet responded to several interview requests."

Bill H. (retired air transport pilot)
Or as they say at the Oshkosh air show:
"If god had intended us to fly he would have given us more money."

Yea, there were several variations of that, some best left unspoken in polite company.
