What Do the People Want?

Your Say
Do you think the fall of the Ancien Régime will mean a second French-style revolution? With beheading the Empress and his wife?

You might say, "Nobody ever expects the French Revolution." They expect another American Revolution. As far as I know, clones of the French Revolution happen with frightening frequency. ("Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss".)

Revolution is not the answer. Revolution in the name of the people is what got us into this mess.
We need a hard-right reaction, not a "people's revolution". We don't need Paris, July 1789 -- we need Madrid, July 1936.

We need a Pinochet. You know, someone who will make leftists "disappear".

Better them than us. This is war.
Con Franco vivimos mejor.

Oh my, you naughty children! Mama Napolitano will now come and spank you.

Why, yes indeed the people do. But the regime here is not just confined to Washington (or Westminster, for that matter). It is the parasitocracy (I don't even know whether that is a word but it is now) embodied, yes, in Whitehall, Westminster, and just about all of Washington DC - but also in town and city halls all over the world, in which the corruption is even worse. In Masonic halls in which the funny-handshake mobs remember their oaths to their society fellows and forget their oaths to their constituents. In the headquarters of investment banks everywhere. In every lawyer's office there is and in every megacorporation boardroom...

So guys, maybe you can explain to me. Given that this person wants to round me, my friends, my parents, etc. torture us, and ultimately kill us because he doesn't like our politics, and given that nobody here seems to have a problem with him saying so --
Why should I consider him and the people who think this kind of language is okay any less of a danger to my freedom and my family than the most rabid taliban member, Nazi, or Stalinist?
