Well, there goes my neighborhood.

wandering_pig.jpg

My local web page up here on Queen Anne in Seattle wants to know, Anyone missing a pig? There's a piggy wandering around Queen Anne Christina sent this note and picture:
I just saw this random pig snuffling around on the corner of Garfield St w. and 1st Ave W. No sign of an owner at about 1.10pm today. Seemed like a nice, friendly pig, certainly well fed!

Probably belongs to the Vietnamese family that's turned their front lawn into a chicken coop. In fact, as hard times lengthen it seems to be the case that even up here in the affluent Seattle neighborhood we're seeing more yards turned over to gardens and orchards and more rural animals and crops.

Your Say

A sterling rep of the Vietnamese pot-bellied pig. They're quite friendly, and have the added benefit of keeping Salafis out of your neighborhood...

A sterling example of a Vietnamese pot-bellied pig. They're quite friendly, can be housebroken, and have the added benefit of keeping Salafis out of your neighborhood...

Once I walked a pig on a leash. (Long story.) I don't know the size range of pigs, but I think that one was larger than the Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs.

That sucker was strong. When I said "walked him on a leash" I meant "followed him around while holding his leash". If he had decided to wander into the road, I would have had to either follow him or drop the leash.

Oh my days! These are so cute, and really life-like too! I can't wait for them to be out on the slehfs! I really hope they have them at my local stockists I've seen normal pigs there, so I have a hopeful feeling they will. I really want one of these for my room (preferably the black and white one ), as my mum won't let me have an actual micro pig!
