The Scum of the Earth Are Quite Naturally Found in the Academy

Sense of Events: First, we kill all the newborns
The academics argue that killing a newborn should be legally permissible because the baby could have been aborted and even if not, there is no "personhood" distinction between a fetus and a newly-born infant.

Your Say

But, their ethics do prohibit them from killing guilty people. I missed a few steps somewhere.

Jesus Christ.

And I mean that as a prayer, not as a sacrilegious expression of horrified disbelief.

In a sane society, such men would be left to rot in the King's tower.

This is their aim, all along.

Can we extend that duration between fetus/non-fetus to include them? A minor stretch will do the deed.

I've heard Ingrid Newkirk (PETA, I think) actually claim cockroaches have rights that man is bound to honor. And she was agnostic as to what if any rights a healthy baby had moments before birth.

They oppose killing the guilty precisely because they are guilty. The murder's value is in his destruction of the rest of us. They say this from the safety of gated communities, security-controlled buildings.

Our enemies tell us daily who they really are and most of us prefer to think we haven't explained things clearly enough to them so they can agree with us. Some of us are like sheep than have never seen what the wolf does.

I followed the link to Sense of Events, then followed the link to the article quoted from the statistic blog, then followed THAT link to the journal and downloaded and printed the pdf of the actual article.

I was revolted, and angry, and disheartened; turned away for the night; saying to myself that the world was not worth any prayers for mercy or forgiveness, and was in fact unworthy of armageddon itself. Filth in a cess-pool.

This morning I woke up in a better state. I realized that to stop praying, to turn away and disengage would be even more evil. This This and THIS is when it is most required to re-engage, and fight, not in a hate-filled haze, but with iron opposition and say No and fight for NO and scream for NO. Dont just lay down and remove yourself.

I say we take them up on their generous offer to reduce their personal carbon footprints.

This is not a new argument. I listened to a symposium at Princeton U where "ethicist" Peter Singer argued this point in favor of infanticide, and in favor of euthanasia.

"This is not a new argument."

Fausta, while you are correct in stating that this is not a new argument, just as you would, I assume, assisduously ferret out an infestation in your home, say of cockroaches or rats, so we should just as assiduously ferret out infestations in society of what passes for alleged reasoned discourse such as this.

"The murder's value is in his destruction of the rest of us."

For other liberals, the murderer's value is as an opportunity for moral posturing. They don't actually want to kill us, but they are indifferent to our deaths if they can tell the world how sophisticed and superior they are through their protection of monsters.

John,
Indeed you are right. We must indeed make a stand every time. I did, then.
