Syria has also refused IAEA requests to make available facilities that were part of its nuclear weapons program and may still be in operation.

Yeah I saw that yesterday, I think this one's a sleeper. I recall in 2005 a story that quickly was buried in which Jordanian police busted an attempted chemical gas terrorist attack. The gas was traced back to Syria, who has no chemical gas facilities or production ability.
I lost the link in a computer meltdown and could never find the story again, so I've let it kind of lie but this stuff keeps peeking out again and again.

It's no wonder the Russkies and Chicoms are trying like hell to keep the 'international community' away from Syria...
Their (Russian and Chicom) weapons, which the Russkies helped smuggle out of Iraq pre-invasion, would go a long way towards vindicating Repubs and destroying any nominal credibility that the anti-war, anti-American, pro-communist left has.
