O’Sullivan’s First Law: Any institution that is not explicitly right wing will become left wing over time.

Re: The Planned Parenthood Paroxysm --
It is a fresh reminder that the left fully absorbed and adapted the Brezhnev Doctrine: once they capture an institution, they aren'€™t giving it up.  How dare a private foundation stop coughing up the dough.  It explains why "diversity" means conformity to liberal views in newsrooms, college faculties, and Hollywood studios.  It's why the left reacts with howls of outrage every time you propose reducing taxpayer funding for NPR and PBS, even as the left disingenuously argues that NPR and PBS receive only a "tiny"€ amount of tax subsidy.  It should also remind us how the left will fight every battle to shrink government like it was Verdun.  Which suggests one obvious conclusion if you're an incoming Romney Administration: go big.  Go after everything at once.  -- | Power Line

Your Say

Gerard, you don't get it. Romney believes in government. He thinks government works, and it does, for him.

I had a guy like Romney work for me once. He was a junior lawyer, a Mormon, tall, good looking, well connected, well spoken, polite clean and well scrubbed, a beautiful blonde wife and 3 perfect children.

He was one of the stupidest dolts I ever hired. He had been protected, helped and moved forward by the Mormons in his family and church circles for years. When I eased him out they found him a gig in the oil patch where he made a lot of money.

Everything I see in Romney makes me think he is the same as Obama. Obama is a black affirmative action idiot and Romney is a Mormon affirmative action idiot.

I like and admire the Mormons for the way they protect their own but...

Komen drops plans to cut Planned Parenthood grants
February 3, 2012 By DAVID CRARY , AP National Writer
(AP) -- The Susan G. Komen for the Cure breast-cancer charity on Friday abandoned plans to eliminate grants to Planned Parenthood. The startling decision came after three days of virulent criticism that resounded across the Internet, jeopardizing Komen's iconic image.

The Commie-libs are always on offense. They jealously defend every inch of their territory. They see any 1% decrease in loyalty the same as a an apocalypse that threatens everything they value.

Conservatives, on the other hand, rush to excuse any act of betrayal as a strategic repositioning for the good. "If we support this defeat then any future defeat will better be seen as a big deal, and we can fight then. Rinse and repeat. Rinse and repeat."

You don't deserve victory if you won't fight to win. You can't fight to win if you'd rather lose than be impolite. Our GOP RINOs didn't get dropped on us from Mars, they rose from among our ranks and we refused to recognize what was happening. Replacing a poison spewing Marxist with a placebo-spewing RINO won't fix anything. It will just teach people only suckers work within the system.

If you like John Boehner, you'll love Mitt Romney.

20 or so years ago a Libertarian government took over in New Zealand. The lesson they learned was not to go at things piecemeal, but eliminate offensive government agencies all at once. Don't try to "fix" it. Eliminate it.

I really like him and I think he would do a great job for this cnoutry. I really think, because I saw what he did for SLC, he could make a huge difference in our economy. McCain just seems too combative to me. Romney is a lot more diplomatic. What concerns me is that everyone keeps saying he wouldn't be able to defeat the Clintons or Obama. We do have to have someone that can keep them out of office.
