If the .gov admits this much, it's what they are hiding that is scary. I was in Laos way before the American public ever heard of the place.
And, the obo admin is MUCH more secretive that the Dems in power in the early sixties ever conceived possible.

As far as a lock down around Washington, I'd be happy with a moat, a wall, and a no-fly zone.

The conservative George Bush that stopped this self-defeating policy of using the military for nation-building? Well, that was his campaign. I read in the newspaper he might have changed after the election.
Bring back punitive war. If a situation deserves war, make war, not half-war for decades and you rebuild the same mud hut 40 times and lose 30 soldiers and 300 civilians.
Things are what they are. War can't be made more humane and you can't win one without killing people, even some innocent people, and making people really mad. The best you can do is to wage it so viciously and totally, not even the survivors want a rematch. Anyone that blows sunshine up your dress with tales of nice wars and waging war just on a government while making nice with the people is the devil whispering in your ear.
