War: An 8-Ball Prophecy

magic_8ball_outlook_not_so_good.jpg

The dead white males always said it only takes one aggressor to make a war.
We have two: the bomb crafting Iranians, and the holocaust stung Israelis. If a war does break out, the Obama voters will flock back to vote for Obama, which does put a spin on the foreign policy of the world's smartest leader. Patriotism. No mention in the media of the support of the usual ex-Bolshevik powers for Iran. Any rail movements of munitions over their common border? Nary a peep: all is mourning for the latest crack pipe casualty in Hollywood. -- The Sleeping Sword

Your Say

I spoke with my son about an hour ago. He is at Combat Out Post (COP) Sayed Abad in Afghanistan with his SF team "embracing an enormous suck".

One of the things on his and his teammates hearts and minds is the media all-court press for Whitney Houston, parades for sports teams, and the utter lack of media attention given to the soldiers in an ongoing war, forgotten by those who demanded it as "the good war".

These men didn't choose these wars, and they have given their best; some may yet give all. They are feeling the betrayal I felt when I left the Army in 1973 in the media-hated Viet Nam-era.

Behind the 8-ball is now a familiar place for our warriors, handcuffed by leftist Rules Of Engagement, hamstrung by political hacks inside and outside the military, sent to fight and die for no known goal. Our leaders are unworthy of those they lead.

Bill, note that each of those know-it-all dolts has bunkers all to themselves.
