Why the Republicans Will Die Off

Over the next few years I expect very bad things; things which require solutions, not illusions.
A Republican Party which holds all the levers of power, will shoulder all the blame. As for the Democratic Party, as long as it embraces redistributionism it will always have a natural constituency. It can never go away. In short, at the height of crisis, when Democrats offer only redistribution and Republicans have been repudiated, I expect that a third party will emerge. -- Bob Krumm 2012 Predictions

Your Say

I'm living in hope that the dominance of both parties will collapse, the present primary system will be destroyed, and I suspect in the future people will contract and focus more on local and state politics, having given up on the federal level as a lost cause.

We have to fix the private sector, banking and housing first because no one will reduce the size of government and create even more unemployment until that happens. Well, perhaps Christ Christie can get away with stuff like that but most Republicans can't.

Commiecrats are always on offense and press their advantage. Republicans, as Mark Steyn noted, come to power and just babysit the unholy mess. When the public sees not one damn thing is actually improved by electing the most moderate and inactive RINO that can be found guess who they elect next time? This may be our last election when about half the people still thinks we should work inside the system. What do you suppose happens when most people see all change must come from what comes after politics?

There is no way to avoid a fight on these issues. There is no compromise we can make that will make changes and not make enemies. Electing Romney will just cement in place that the non-DNC people are feckless plus whatever else the media claims about them.

Voters are likely willing to elect anyone who's name doesn't start with O and end in -bama. Why not make sure that someone is a conservative? If you think putting more Republicans like Boehner in DC is the answer to our problems you should vote for the "electable" candidate. If you think we should fix some problems, not babysit the unholy mess, you should consider a conservative. Stop trying to guess who will win so you can vote for the winner.
