WHO WOULDN'T ENJOY FIRING THESE PEOPLE?

Mitt Romney got into trouble for saying, "I like being able to fire people who provide services to me." To comprehend why the political class reacted as if Romney had just praised Hitler, you must understand that his critics live in a world in which no one can ever be fired -- a world known as "the government." -- Ann Coulter - January 11, 2012 -

Your Say

After spending the last few years nearing apoplexy over frequent RINO sellouts, Republican voters are busy trying to nominate this year's John McCain/John Effing Kerry, the guy they pretend is electable. To remind you, Romney is the man that lost to the man that lost to Obama. Romney lost to Ted Kennedy by 16 points, Santorum losing by 18 points is supposedly a fatal disqualification.

Did Romney more than once receive 50% of voters in the 2008 primary? If he did, it was rare. Then, as now, he's stuck around 25% in Republican primaries. Don't dismiss his flip-flopping for many years and then claim he's got the cojones to whip DC into shape. He didn't even have the cojones to say the unpopular thing when running as Taxachusetts chief tax collector.

Republican voters are nearly identical to their self-defeating, no-courage, compromise early and often elected officials. The voters are going to do exactly what the Obama voters did, and the GWB voters did. They are going to ignore all of the warnings. They are going to imagine various contradictory new policies. They are going to say "he's the only one that can fix this mess" and then excuse the only possible outcome once he's elected. Romney has no spine to withstand a sustained media attack and if you throw in the usual RINO suspects joining the Commiecrat caucus Romney will cave.

You have to be smoking the most premium sort of crack to honestly choose Romney as the one, I mean The One, to fix the Rep/Dem's Murder-Suicide Pact we call Washington, DC. For the love of God, stop confusing "we need X" with "he has X." Romney was for it before he was against it precisely because "it" is just an agenda item.

The rush to end this primary fight early is a pathetic symptom of inactive "conservatives" that have already surrendered to the commie-libs. At least be man enough to stop pretending that if the commie-libs do something bad enough you'll fight. You won't, not if you've forgiven what they have already done.

Unless you make it clear there is no way on this Earth you will vote for Romney, Romney is exactly the next GOP loser to deliver a polite concession speech after running a feckless campaign.
