A normal person would look at this situation and say,
"What a monumental waste of effort. So much human labor for no purpose whatsoever; after all those man-hours, nothing has changed. All the leaves are back in their original positions." What should be done with a useless empty hole in the ground?

And how long will the dance of nonsense go? At least FDR provided some beautiful post offices and county courthouses, structures which had some use and are still useful. There is a great difference between these presidents that the tale of years does not fully explain, but only an examination of their first principles does.
