When can we look forward to this trend reaching the US?

I thought VP Cheney was starting a trend when he shot that lawyer. Tort reform one lawyer at a time.

Back in the '90s, down in Texas, some lawyer who was upset over a custody case got a gun into the courthouse and shot up several other lawyers and maybe a judge. It really freaked the attorneys out so they went to court to freeze his assets so he would either have to get a public defender or argue his own case. Needless to say, he did not get to use a temporary insanity defense.

My conclusion was that if you kill a lawyer, expect to fry.

Q. What do you call 5000 lawyers lying end to end at the bottom of the Atlantic?

A. A good start.
