Just when you thought it was safe to go our without your mittens: "Forget global warming.... "
The supposed ‘consensus’ on man-made global warming is facing an inconvenient challenge after the release of new temperature data showing the planet has not warmed for the past 15 years. The figures suggest that we could even be heading for a mini ice age to rival the 70-year temperature drop that saw frost fairs held on the Thames in the 17th Century. -- | Mail OnlineOoops... mistaeks wur maid.

Oops.
I've occasionally thought it would be a good thing if there were some truth behind the Anthropogenic Global Warming hysteria, because if there were we might actually be able to do something the next time the planet decides to take a big chill pill. In truth, though, I think all we can really do is be ready to adapt when the climate does change for the colder, as it is wont to do regardless of the needs, desires, or wishful thinking of its inhabitants. If memory serves, warming periods are the exception in Earth's long history, not the norm...

Al refuses to be Gored. The AGW crowd still insist that human-cause warming will negate the Big Chill.
But if that is so (it's not, but let's play along), then we don't want to carbon-trade ourselves into penury, do we? We want to drill and belch grenhouse gasses, drive BIG SUVs, and buy Exxon stock, don't we? Big Al will still get even richer than he is now. Of course, he'll have to put a big moat around his huge new house, and hire 100 armed Rotweillers to patrol the permises.

So, is there a place I can go to place a bet on how the AGW hoax will play out? It should be hilarious watching the media wriggle out of it - how will they and their liberal clientele do it?
Will any major media organizations or personalities go TU because of the credibility hit?
Will I ever have the chance to shove 3-inch headlines that say "GLOBALONEY!!" in front of my friends and relatives' faces?
The media is so invested in this fraud that I just don't see how they can just say "Oopsie..." after making non-belief in globaloney tantamount to being a knuckle-dragger.
How will they get off the hook? Sadly, I am pretty sure they will - I just don't have their depth of experience in using hypocrisy for fun and profit to figure out how they will do it.
