"I hate this field....

What we should have had was Christie, Palin, Ryan, Rubio, West and Jindal. That could have been amazing. Instead we got the second stringers and it's just impossible to make a choice that doesn't feel like a disappointment. --Kristol: Anyone want to jump in now? ォ Hot Air

Am I the only one who thinks that Bill Kristol is a supercilious swot.

Chisel this one in stone, someone, please...

"I'm gonna win, because nobody really understands what I'm all about" is a loser's proposition. It's chiseled into the pedestal beneath the clay feet of Ozymandias.

Muted wimpy pastel colors win today. Bright, bold colors win for the duration. Be what you are, don't apologize, don't try to be anything different -- that is the foundation of a house that stays built.

Hell, even Santorum is starting to look good. Ridiculous. And I'm going to end up voting the exact same way I have since 1992 and with about the same enthusiasm. I did enjoy casting an historical vote in 2008 but I knew even Sarah Palin couldn't help John McCain overcome the white-guilt fever. At times during that campaign, I actually got the feeling McCain was going to vote for Obama. Having said this, 2010 midterms was by far the best. It has to be downhill from there. In the end, Obama will beat himself and he's such a loser he may even fail at that.

None of those people magicbeans wants, would have a shot at this point, with the possible exception of Palin.

I have a better idea - maybe it's time for our party to get behind one of the two or three people who's already running, people who actually have real conservative credentials. All three of the front-runners turn my stomach. Our party has truly gone mad. I mean, RON PAUL? Seriously?

Hey, don't get me wrong. I'd like a do-over myself. Where's Jan Brewer, governor of AZ? How about Sen Jim DeMint of SC?

But...we're not going to get a do-over. Stop crying over it. This is who we have. If we retake Congress, Obama can be stalemated four years and we'll try again in 2016 when some of magicbeans' favorites might be a little more seasoned.
