This was strange for me to read. About a month ago someone told me Andy Rooney had retired from doing his show (been pushed out, this person said) and my immediate reaction was "that's too bad--he'll die right away."

He's an example why death is sometimes a good thing, cleaning out the old curmudgeons who stopped seeing the joy of life long ago and wish to inflict their views on everyone else.
