My husband goes camping without too many modern amenities. Starting fires is tough without enough kindling. He swabs a bunch of cotton balls in vaseline and shoves 'em in a baggie. They light marvelously and they burn well, too. And they weigh next to nothing. Simple is always best.

Um...no. That's just wrong.
Occasionally aesthetics trump functionality. And Bic makes candle lunineres if you're wick-challanged.
