" The two parties are not playing the same game. They play different games, under different rules."

What are these different rules?
The Republicans more or less follow the laws and constitutional procedures, the Democrats deliberately and consciously break them. But the Republicans, while they complain incessantly about the Democrats, never identify this underlying fact. Why? Because that would show that the system is no longer legitimate. And the function of the Republicans, as "patriotic, conservative Americans," is to uphold the goodness and legitimacy of the system, a legitimacy which rests on the belief that everyone in American politics shares the same basic principles and loyalties. So the Republicans, as defenders of the system and its presumed basic unity, cannot expose what the Democrats are. If they exposed it, politics would be replaced by open war between two radically incompatible parties and America as we know it would come to an end. -- Kagan's non-recusal and what it means

Your Say

Yeouch.

This conversation is stage 2 (acceptance of the fact of obvious corruption) of dealing with a corrupt group. If enough people start talking like this we will go to stage 3 (confrontation).

Wake up, Libtards.

The party is almost over.

The kakistocracy at its most fulsome.

Stage #3 will come about-it will be brutish but not short. A political cleansing is a nicer term.
Stay ARMED.

Republicans do play games with the system (they "deem and passed" a budget in 2006 I think it was, for instance) but yeah, they do tend to follow the rules. More problematic is that the GOP tends to follow the gentleman's agreements that both sides used to agree to but only Republicans do, now.

So when a Democrat gets in a scandal, the GOP protects him out of solidarity, and when a Republican gets in a scandal, the Democrats attack him, for instance. When the Democrats need a bill passed, the Republicans make a deal, then when times come for the Democrats to reciprocate, they refuse to.

Its stupid to keep acting like there's any agreement at all between them.

Conservatives won't fight. The RINOs and the commie-libs know this and act accordingly. If what the RINOs and commie-libs have already done doesn't warrant a departure from our normal Mayberry Rules nothing will.

We need to face the fact we are living in a mostly non-violent Civil War. There is no real compromise between Left/Right, one must win and the other lose.

This quote is consistent with the old observation that The Repuplicans are the Stupid Party while The Democrats are the evil party. It also explains the bizarre accusations from the left concerning voter fraud, astroturfed movements, and political violence, etc...it's familiar to them because that's how they play the game and they expect The Right to do the same.
