Thought of the Day: Joe Biden as Acting President

Vice-President-Joe-Biden.jpg

Think of it as a kind of Constitutional coup d'état:

Acting President of the United States: Amendment 25. Section 4.
Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

This is the "We regret to inform you that the president is currently in the crazy place and not coming out" gambit. An extended golf vacation ensues as does the election limited rule of ..... sigh..... "President Biden."

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know. I know. But, comparatively speaking, how bad could he be? Couldn't do worse. Think of the amusement value as late-night comedians were released from their mind-forged manacles.

Your Say

Hell yes I'd prefer him over the Indonesian Candidate.

Why not? He'd only be as ineffective as Obie, and at least he'd provide some amusement value.

Editorial cartoonists might kvetch a bit, though...

He is Obie's token "white boy."

Biden has been in the Senate since he was 30 years old, being elected when he was 29. Of course he could be worse than Obama. Somebody living that long in the twisted, malicious, arrogant world of the United States Senate is per se insane and an imminent danger to the security, peace, freedom, and well being of the United States. Considering his "clean" description of Obama, Ann Coulter is absolutely correct that Obama chose him as VP as assassintation insurance.

How come we never see Joe Biden and Bob Uecker together?

Just wondering...
