Well now. When they normalize these liaisons between tots and old men, will priests go after their former 'boy' friends and counter-sue? Will the prospect of lowering the legal age of consent to eight years mean that eight year olds will be able to vote? Will they be drafted to fight? I'm sure, that since liquor is quicker, the drinking age will also follow downward on that merry path, too. Will any child who resists the seduction of an adult be accused of pedophobia?
Look at all those bastions of froward-thinking in the Middle East, where 9 year old girls can be legally raped: Following up on that are child suicide bombers, child armies, and later on, raging young men who, having been used and discarded by their tea-drinking indolent elders are waiting for a new crop of bachis to do more of the same to.
We are quickly running out of taboos.

One is less frequently surprised at what the Left does, day to day and year to year, once one realizes at the heart of Leftism is the demand that all must be broken. Only once everything is broken, all institutions and relationships, only then can the inherent goodness of all mankind bloom.

I'm increasingly frustrated to despair at the vast numbers of people on our conservative side that STILL assume good intentions from our enemies, or more frequently, assume the bad consequences are due to not knowing that unleashing race riots or socialism hasn't worked for good for at least a century, if ever.

What will it take before the people that wish they were living in Mayberry or Mayfield even suspect that people doing the same thing over and over for a century just might have a plan and a destination? Don't be the last Jew on the cattle car to recognize where this train is heading.

I've been following Vox for awhile. He's one of the best. I read this yesterday. It resonates perfectly with my own often expressed views. I like to say, and I don't know where I got this, that our cultural psychopathology is to make the marginal mainstream and the mainstream marginal. We define deviancy down. VDL has illustrated this many times and could every day as it seems he can't go out his front door without encountering it head on.

At least if its not in the shrinks' manual it can't be used in an insanity defense.

I strongly recommend you listen to this episode of NPR's This American Life about the effort to normalize the APA opinion of homosexuality. TAL does a fair job, even though it's NPR.

You see that the APA change was an engineered effort by homosexuals within the APA and their concern was being normal, or defined as normal. They got the "right" "doctors" on the the panel to make the decision, they got the right groups to protest and harrass the holdouts. The effort was about as data-driven and science-based as Al Gore's movie.

TAL also has an awesome explanation series about the mortgage SNAFU. TAL is very much worth listening to, even though it's NPR. They are one of the few shows that don't preach, mention the oppposing view, and just follow the story. Check out their recent episode called "Thug". It's one of the best indictments of liberal social workers I've witnessed. National Review couldn't have done better.

The widespread adoption of market capitalism made so many people the world over so wealthy, it doubled the amount of money in the world. The holders of that money were seeking safe and lucrative investments. Strong demand for instruments to invest in US mortgages, along with Gov't pressure to give everybody with a pulse a mortgage, created risky investment instruments. The instruments failed and brought down the pain. TAL doesn't exclude the CRA or primaarily blame Wall Street greed, as you might expect of an NPR effort. This American Life and Radio Lab are the best shows you may not know about.

Pedophiles should be handled by vigilante justice.

If they legalize it, and it becomes word of man vs word of child in open court, you will see vigilantism and not any amount of mainstreaming by the media against the pedophobes is going to stop that.
