"[The Norway massacre] challenges some of our deepest beliefs about where the world is headed."

The only conclusion that makes sense to me is that human beings are stuck in a condition of radical uncertainty.
Something big and earth shaking is going on around us, but the information we have does not allow us to predict where it all goes. In my view, this is one of the reasons that belief in a transcendent power beyond the human mind is intellectually necessary to grapple successfully with the realities of our time. When the determinist progressives threw God under the bus, they threw away the possibility of an integrated world view that has room both for scientific and rational analysis on the one hand and a honest, unsparing appraisal of the radical uncertainty around us on the other. -- From Norway To Hell | Via Meadia

Your Say

William F. Buckley, Jr., when mentioned, doesn't receive the response I desire.

So I will will it. Mainly, to help prevent more stupidity than is current.

To wit: If one man, whether Buckleyesque or not, or, even, would it were Mr. WFB, has the power to make you challenge the deepest belief of your culture, you're culture is fucked.

Chaos is part of the Marxist plan. And if we don't take a courageous stand, they will succeed.

Nah, Chaos is the Universe. It consumes Marx. For a time we believe we see Order because Man needs to see that either through God form or something as nutty as Marxism.

When Man tries to make Order in his Universe it becomes unstable; you've seen this in short history. Try to see it through the stars.

It is all Chaos and that is the beauty of the Universe.

I heard someone point out, after the Bush-Gore election fiasco, that the fact that people were not killing each other in the streets is a testiment to the strength of our system. There is value in the rule of law so long as it is based on the tenants of our constitution. Our constitution protects us. Or rather, it is supposed to protect us. Don't forget, the war between the states was, for the North, about slavery, but for the South, it was about economics. Had all the states stood for what was right in the infancy of our nation, there would have never been a civil war. If chaos is to be averted, it is only under the protection of the American constitution. And that is what the Obama admin and its Marxist following intends to destroy. Entropy happens, but order can be restored and preserved for long periods under the right circumstances.

tenets of our constitution, that is

Posted by: RedCarolina at July 26, 2011 8:47 AM

If only it had more tenants.

Most tenants don't even know we have a constitution. They believe this is The United States of Walt Disney World.

The Way, the flow, that IS order. We can move with it, or away from it, as our sensibilities may dictate, but we are ever the subject. Chaos is its compliment, as night is to day.
