Wait - I heard one seemingly intelligent brunette claim she couldn't vote for McCain because (brace yourself) of his age..??.. and that she didn't think (Governor) Palin...(emphasis on the Governor part).. was (brace yourself).. QUALIFIED! I don't think stupidity has anything to do with hair color, natural or otherwise.

Yes, it's a cheap shot but I take my blonde jokes where I can find them.

Yet another Demonstration, as if any more were necessary, of the limits of reason in a world of imperfect information, poorly perceived, and processed by a mind doomed by emotion to distort the facts.

Well, ahem, that depends: Blond or Blonde?

We always want to be sensitive to charges of stealth sexism.

She may claim her decision was rational. I notice she doesn't dare choose a word which connotes any idea of wisdom in choice or soundness of judgment.

The pure and simple fact is that votes for Obama by people like Althouse were either open-eyed perversity (e.g., Palin hatred) or rank, ignorant stupidity. Given his lack of previous accomplishment, his own statements reflecting radical views, all of his chosen political and personal associations, and his history of activism in and commitment to socialistic political transformation of the country, there was never any reasonable doubt about what kind of president he would be on economic, social and international issues. What he has done (and hasn't done) is perfectly consonant with all of his previous history; and there were so many signs and voices of warning about what his presidency would yield that Althouse's appeal to her "rational choice" should stick in the craw of all honest and reasonable observers.

I can only look at Althouse and conclude that despite all her blog coverage of the Obama administration's general incompetence and malfeasance, and corruption of government agencies and function, she is as likely as not to discover that once again in 2012, Obama is the "rational" choice.

Such rationality is impossible to respect.

Ah, butt is she a natural blonde? Any volunteers to check her roots?

Ann Coulter is a blond and I can bet the farm she did not vote for Obama.

Ann is a rational woman. I beleive that she did indeed vote "rationally". She just voted incorrectly. There was not an Obama/McCain choice. She could have voted third party - to protest the 2 awful choices we had in the major party candidates. Piling on Ann for making an incorrect "rational" choice is stupid. People make incorrect "informed" choices all the time. Like any tofu dish I've ever sampled...

I cannot blame Prof Althouse--after all, she's a lawyer and no doubted voted because Voldermort is one of her own kind.

In truth, she and others did us several favors by voting for and electing Voldermort.

FIRST - they introduced us to Sarah Palin. All of my support goes to Sarah Palin. Should Sarah Palin not gain the Republican nomination, I will support whomever does. ABO.

SECOND - The TEA PARTIES were formed in direct response to Voldemort's actions. Ordinary Americans quietly going about their business trying to lead lives of Freedom and Liberty suddenly realized--in response to the betrayal by elected leaders--that they had power to respond.

THIRD--Voldemort has simply accelerated the traducement of the Constitution by BOTH parties and most bureaucrats. Fact is, we were (are) all being boiled alive; a Republican administration (except for Sarah Palin) would have taken and was/Was/WAS taking us to the same place as Voldemort, only more slowly, turning up the heat more gradually. With Voldemort, the heat has increased rapidly, and Americans across our great country are saying !Nada Mas!

So, thank you Prof Althouse and all your ilk, if it had not been for your "rational" intellect, we'd be slowly cooking away in a stew created by the other group on "know-betters" oblivious to the traitors in our midst.

(Heh - you you too, Prof Althouse, I include among the group of "know-betters" I suspect as someone else mentioned that you will probably vote for Voldemort once again, upon your rational consideration of the alternative. I do not understand how someone like you can be mugged by reality and still not see what is in front of you. You go to the State Capitol, reporting worthy of a Pulitzer, and still claim hang on to your lib shibboleths. You and Juan Williams are two peas in a pod.)

As it is, the jig is up, we know what they were about, and we are fighting back.
