Your Say

A well-prepared portobello mushroom may not be as good as a steak, but it surely can be more expensive.

I've never been able to figure out why vegans try to make their veggies look like meat, but carnivores never try to make their meat look like broccoli?

It is self-evident based on our dental work and digestive systems that humans are naturally omnivorous. The "omni" certainly includes meat, fish, and fowl, as well as fungus, fruits, and vegetables. If people want to exclude a large number of foods that we are well-equipped by nature to handle, fine, that's their choice. I, however, take my steak medium. Hold the mushrooms, please.

I'll eat almost anything, but mushrooms of any kind make me cringe.

Had a giant portobello stuffed with a crabmeat concoction not long ago. Very Pacific NW hippy kinda food put out by Costco. Looks odd, but tastes good. Will not replace steak.
